Tell us what you were doing, your device, and your Android version, and we can usually pin it down quickly.

Email jacquesjdupreez@gmail.com and describe what you were doing, your device (TV or phone, manufacturer/model), and Android version. A screenshot of the FamilyFilterTV banner or the Diagnostics screen helps a lot.

Setting up FamilyFilterTV with Stremio

  1. Install Stremio and FamilyFilterTV on the same Android device.
  2. Open FamilyFilterTV once from the launcher to pick a filter profile (default Family) and whether subtitles are drawn on screen.
  3. In Stremio, start a title, open the Player menu on the control bar (the picture-in-frame icon) and choose External.
  4. Pick FamilyFilterTV from Android's "Open with" chooser and tap Always so this happens automatically next time.
  5. On Android TV: OK pauses/resumes, ◀ / ▶ seek 10 seconds, opens the subtitle and audio-track menu, Back returns to Stremio and hands your playback position back to it. On phone, use the on-screen touch controls.
  6. Watch the banner in the first few seconds of playback — it tells you where subtitles came from, or says plainly if none were found for that title (filtering can't work without a subtitle to read).

Something not working?

Most playback issues come down to either a codec the device can't decode, or no subtitles being available for that particular title/release. If FamilyFilterTV crashes or the mute behaviour looks wrong, email support with the device details above and, if possible, which title and which add-on provided the stream in Stremio.
