A free add-on for Stremio that shows how much swearing is in a film or episode — counted from its English subtitles — right on the streams screen, before you press play.

What you'll see
Once it's added, open any film or episode in Stremio and look at the streams list. Language Ratings adds one line, alongside whatever else you have installed:

What the labels mean
Every count is against the Family Filter TV app's own filter profiles — Mild, Family, and Strict, from least to most muted. A title is labelled by how many lines each profile would mute:

|---|---|
| Clean | The Strict profile mutes nothing. |
| Mild | The Mild profile mutes nothing, and Strict mutes 5 lines or fewer. |
| Moderate | The Mild profile mutes some lines, or Strict mutes 6–30. |
| Strong | The Mild profile mutes 10 or more lines, or Strict mutes more than 30. |
How it's counted, and its limits
Counts come from a title's English subtitles only, using the same word-matching Family Filter TV's own app uses to decide what to mute. That means:
- No English subtitle track, no count — the entry says so instead of guessing.
- Different cuts of the same film (theatrical vs. extended, different releases) can have different subtitle timing, so a count reflects the specific release it was measured on, not every version that exists.
- Only language is counted here. Violence and nudity are not measured by this add-on or by the Family Filter TV app.
- It's a count, not a judgement — the same numbers, shown plainly, so you can decide for yourself before you press play.
Counts are made from OpenSubtitles.com subtitles. No subtitle text is stored or shown anywhere — only the counts.
Want the language actually muted, not just counted?
That's what the Family Filter TV app does: it plays alongside Stremio as an external player and mutes the audio live, for the exact seconds a line is profane, while the picture keeps playing.
