If you talk to families about what they watch, here is what Family Filter TV can offer you: a free year, your own invite link, and no obligation beyond an honest look.

Family Filter TV is a small, independent app I built myself. It works with Stremio on Android TV, TV boxes and phones: you start something in Stremio, hand it to Family Filter TV, and the swearing in the dialogue is muted automatically while the picture keeps playing. Nothing is cut, blurred or skipped — the sound just drops for that line and comes straight back. One filter setting, chosen from a parent's phone, covers every television linked to the household.

If your audience is the kind of family that already thinks about what's on in the lounge, I'd like to give you a free year to try it properly yourself before you decide whether it's worth mentioning. There's no script to follow and nothing you're required to post — have a look, and if it's genuinely useful, share it in your own words. If it isn't for you, that's fine too; just let me know and I'll leave it there.

If you do want to share it, you'll get your own invite link from inside the app. Every friend who subscribes through your link earns you 10 weeks free — uncapped, so five friends is a free year and there's no ceiling after that. Anyone who joins through your link gets 30 days free instead of the usual 14, and pays their own subscription after that, at the launch price while it lasts.

Worth being upfront about, the same way the rest of this site is: Family Filter TV is independent, and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Stremio or Google. It only works with what you play through Stremio on Android TV — it does not filter Netflix, DStv or any other streaming app, and it doesn't touch violence or nudity, only language.
